SUMMER
Your family will enjoy the excitement of Summer and the thrill of Winter at Wellman Lake Lodge. If you love swimming, boating, snowmobiling, fishing or winter ice fishing, we're sure you'll have a wonderful holiday filled with exciting activities.Recreation: a government children's playground, volleyball, basketball and tennis courts and horseshoe pits are all within a five minute walk of our cabins.
Fishing:
Welcome to Fishing in Manitoba!!!! Boats with motors, canoes, paddleboats, a kayak are available for rent for fishing or just good old "participation". You can enjoy a Manitoba fishing trip by catching a brook, rainbow & lake trout, spar, smallmouth bass, walleye, northern pike, perch & muskellunge at one of the nearby lakes. Fly fishing in Manitoba is also becoming a popular recreation pastime.
Swimming:
A government beach within a five-minute walk of our cabins has a sandy beach, safe for children with no drop-offs.
Hiking Trails and Canoe Routes:
Several hiking trails for all ages with different terrains close by along with canoe portage routes with maps available at our store.
Government Dock:
You can unload your boat and bring it up to dock at your cabin.
WINTER
Ice Fishing:
Ice fishing huts available for rent or stay with us for two nights and receive a fishing hut free. (A snowmobile is necessary for moving ice shacks to and from the lake)
Cross-Country Ski Trails:
There are groomed trails for the whole family. You can leave right from your cabin door. Maps are available at the store.
Snowmobiling:
Glistering white snow... lots of snow... yours to explore by snowmobile and return to a crackling fire in your cozy cottage. There are miles of snowmobile trails throughout the Duck Mountains Provincial Park.
After hitting the trails all day you'll be delighted to spend the evening relaxing in the massage tub.
